DESCRIPTION:On a late summer weekend\, the Staatsoper Unter den Linden open
 s its doors to celebrate the new season with all the members of the chorus
  and orchestra\, the stage\, costume and make-up departments\, and curious
  visitors of all ages. Whether you are an opera or ballet connoisseur or a
  newcomer to the world of opera and ballet\, the programme for the popular
  Opening Parties offers exciting behindthe- scenes glimpses\, information 
 about premieres and rehearsals\, lots of music to listen to or make yourse
 lf—and\, of course\, ballet! At 12:30 pm\, Iana Salenko and Kalle Wigle 
 will be rehearsing the Black Swan pas de deux on stage with Ballet Master 
 Yannick Sempey and pianist Da Yun Choi – and at 4:30 pm we invite you to
  join us for a Ballet Class Up Close with Ballet Master Barbara Schroeder 
 and Pedro Sanchez at the piano.
