Symphony concert with James Gaffigan

Cem Adrian and Fazıl Say, two of Turkey’s most important artists, in a concert straddling continents and musical worlds! Following an imaginary geography across the the Hudson, the Seine, and the Bosporus, our music director James Gaffigan voyages through the world’s music in this New Year’s concert.Along for the ride is pianist Fazıl Say, who returns to the Komische Oper Berlin to present Maurice Ravel’s colourful Piano Concerto. Another travelling companion is Cem Adrian, one of Turkey’s most versatile pop singers and a vocal artiste beyond compare, here to present his songs of yearning in symphonic splendour. Completing this globetrotting triptych is George Gershwin’s An American in Paris , the opening leg of this musical journey between jazz, impressionism, and pop. Yeni yılınız kutlu olsun, Bonne année, and Happy New Year!
