»Who are you? Who am I?« Questions about identity and one’s place in society are not only issues for many children and young people, but also Elsa in Wagner’s »Lohengrin«. The brilliant eponymous hero even married her, but only on the condition that she never asks for his name and origin. Can she fulfil this condition? Over 25 Berlin children will perform Wagner’s great romantic opera. The result is strongly influenced by their individual view of the identity issues raised in the work and is aimed at children and adults alike.
