Chamber music in an unconventional atmosphere

For the musicians of the orchestra of the Deutsche Oper Berlin, their series of chamber-music sessions is a wish come true. Taking their inspiration from key operas on the programme, they put together concert programmes linked to works that they hold particularly dearly. They are assisted in the project not only by singers from the ensemble but also by guests from outside.

Ignatz Waghalter (1881 – 1949)
Sonata for violin and piano f-Major op. 5

Joseph Haydn (1732 – 1809)
String quartet C-Major, op. 54,2

Paul Hindemith (1895 – 1963)
Duo for viola and violoncello

Mary Howe (1882 – 1964)
Three pieces for string quartet

Erwin Schulhoff (1894 – 1942)
String sextet

A memorial concert for Wladislaw Waghalter, Max Rosenthal, Werner Lywen and Hans Kraus
